Trailerama: World’s Largest

Type “world’s largest” into Wikipedia and you get all kinds of useless information. The world’s largest spinach can, for instance, is in Alma, Arkansas. But if you want to see the world’s largest monk, then you’ll have to visit Hillsborough, California. These roadside displays seem like kitsch to most people. For a small town’s chamber of commerce, however, they’re a vital way of getting tourists to stop in their burg and drop a little cash in their coffers. Amy C. Elliott and Elizabeth Donius’ documentary takes a lighthearted look at the off-road communities hoping to make it big. Due to screen at the 2010 SXSW Film Festival.
