This New Zealand film from the director of Eagle vs. Shark looks like a lot of fun. Boy lives on a farm with his grandmother and idolizes Michael Jackson and his convict dad in equal measure. Dad breaks out of prison and is reunited with his son. But are his motives as genuine as they appear? The deadpan imagery reminds Squally of early Coen Brothers movies. Set to screen at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival.
